The bank opened a branch in Tapachula, Chiapas, in December 1908 in a two-storied building on the corner of calle Zaragoza and calle Allende. The manager was Tiburcio Tafolla, who came from MazatlánEl Economista Mexicano, tomo XLV, núm. 14, 4 January 1908.

The Tehuacán branch opened on 19 July 1910. The governing body was composed of Manuel Garcia Travessi as Director, Juan Gómez Trapaga as Consejero, Alfonso Bustamante as Cajero and Juan Estudillo as Jefe de contabilidadRevista de Revistas, 21 August 1910.

The branch issued $5 notes dated 1 September 1909 and $10 and $20 notes dated 1 March 1910 with the overprint 'TEHAUCAN' twice.

The branch began operations in the first half of 1904 in avenida Villada núm. 2. The first gerente general was Herman Koenige, cajero Gonzalo Berúmen and contador Javier Covarrubias. In 1907 it moved to its present location, facing the Portal Madero.

Tuxtla Gutiérrez

The governor of Chiapas, Ramón Rabasa, wanted to encourage other banks to establish branches in the state so on 12 March 1906 he signed a agreement with José M. Castello, the lawyer for the Banco Nacional de México, to open branches in various locationsHistoria del Honorable Congreso del Estado de Chiapas, Legislatura XXIV (1905-1907). In mid 1906 the bank established a branch in Tuxtla Gutíerrez as part of its expansion plans. The manager was Alberto E. Molina; cashier José Fuentes Oviedo; contador Carlos Moguel (who had been an escribiente in the Banco de Chiapas) and consultor Pedro del Cueto. Its offices were at avenida República and calle Gamboa (today Avenida Central and calle Segunda Oriente).

The branch issued $5, $10, $20 and $50 notes dated 1 August 1905 and $100 notes dated 1 December 1902, all overprinted 'TUXTLA GUTIERREZ' twice.

Uruapan

The Uruapan branch was opened in 1905.

Veracruz

The bank inherited the existing branch of the Banco Nacional Mexicano that had opened in 1882. From 1882 to 1894 the manager was Buenaventura A. Vendrell. Juan B. Martínez was contador and Rafael Fuentes cajero.

The branch's first notes, including $1 and $2 notes, were overprinted 'PAGADERO EN VERACRUZ' twice and needlepunched 'VERACRUZ'.

The Banco Nacional de México established its branch in Zacatecas in 1892 at calle Tacuba núm. 23. The Junta de Vigilancia had Manuel A. Buenrostro as president, Ernesto Dussaussay as vice president, Benjamín Gómez Gordoa, Joaquín I. Ibargüengoitia and Ildefonso Portilla as vocales and Bernabé G. del Valle and Benigno Soto as suplentes. Ildefonso B. Armida was appointed as manager and Manuel Córdova as cashier.

The branch's first notes were overprinted 'PAGADERO EN ZACATECAS' twice and needlepunched 'ZACATECAS', while later notes were just overprinted 'PAGADERO EN ZACATECAS' twice.

Zamora

The Zamora branch, one of five in MichoacánThe others were La Piedad, Morelia, Puruándiro and Uruapan., was inaugurated on 1 May 1905. The first administration was formed by Arturo Bracho as manager; Rafael García, a respectable capitalist, who held the position of advisor or consultant (according to the bank's own information, he belonged to the wealthiest family in the region); Luis Covarrubias E. as cashier, and José Marroquí as accountant.

Zapotlán

The bank opened an agency in Zapotlán in 1905.
